Call for Abstracts
The Symposium Organizers invite interested authors to submit abstracts to be considered for inclusion in the program as selected oral or poster presentations for the different symposia.
Authors must follow the guidelines for abstract submission, which are below. Abstracts not conforming to these guidelines will not be considered.
Abstract Submission Deadline
The abstract submission deadline is 25 April 2025.
General Conditions and Information
- Abstract submission must be completed online via the Abstract Submission portal on this website.
- Abstracts sent by email will not be accepted.
- Submission of an abstract constitutes a formal commitment by the author(s) to present the work in person at the ESEB 2025 Congress in Barcelona if the abstract is accepted.
- Failure to register for Congress at least two months before the meeting will result in the abstract being withdrawn from the scientific program.
Changes and Corrections
- Once submitted, authors may log into the Abstract Submission Portal to edit, update, or submit a new abstract until the submission deadline.
- After the submission deadline, no changes can be made to the abstract content or information, including the list of authors and abstract details. Changes submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
- If accepted, your abstract will be published in the Abstract Book exactly as submitted. Please check the co-authors and affiliations carefully before submission.

Submission Rules
- Each presenting author is allowed to submit a maximum of two (2) abstracts.
- The symposium organizers make the final decision on the acceptance or rejection of abstracts.
- Abstracts submitted for oral presentations will automatically be considered for poster presentations if not selected for oral presentations.
- The submitting author must also be the presenting author (“the submitting author = the presenting author”).
- The submitting/presenting author does not have to be the first author.
Method of Submission
- All abstracts must be submitted exclusively via the Abstract Submission Portal accessible on this page.
- All correspondence regarding the abstract will be sent to the submitting author’s e-mail address.
- Authors will receive an email confirmation of their abstract submission immediately after submission. If no confirmation is received within 24 hours, please check your spam folder. If still not received, please contact: eseb2025barcelona@aimgroup.eu.
Guidelines for the Submission of Abstracts
- Use the provided text fields on the Abstract Submission Portal.
- File uploads (e.g., documents, figures, images) are not permitted.
- The body of the abstract must not exceed 550 words.
- During submission, authors will need to provide:
- Name and affiliation of the presenting author.
- Names of any co-authors and their affiliations (if different from presenting author)
- Selected abstract category.
- Presentation type (Oral or Poster)
- The abstract text (typed or copied and pasted).
- Contact information should only be provided for the presenting author. Ensure that the email address used matches the one the presenting author uses for Congress Registration.
Withdrawal
- To withdraw a submitted abstract, notify us as soon as possible at eseb2025barcelona@aimgroup.eu. Include the title and author of the abstract withdrawn.
- Withdrawals will be accepted even after the submission deadline.

Call for abstracts

Submission rules
- Each presenting author can submit a maximum of 1 abstract (either 1 abstract for a talk or 1 abstract for a poster).
- The final decision on acceptance or rejection of an abstract is made by the organizing committee. The talk can be moved to poster by the organizing committee according to reviewing process.
- The submitting author of the abstract must be a presenting author (“the submitting author = the presenting author”).
- The submitting (= presenting) author does not have to be the first author.
Method of submission
- All abstracts must be submitted only via the online form that is accessible in the User zone. (not yet available)
- Abstracts sent by e-mail cannot be considered.
- Authors can edit submitted abstracts at any time before the submission deadline. After the submission deadline abstracts will be locked and it will not be possible to edit them.
- All correspondence concerning the abstract will be sent to submitting author’s e-mail address.
- Authors will be notified about the delivery of their abstract by e-mail immediately. In case you will not receive confirmation within 24 hours, please check your spam folder. In case of no confirmation e-mail, please contact: eseb2025barcelona@aimgroup.eu
Abstract submission instructions
- Abstracts have to be written in English.
- Fill in the submitting author’s name and e-mail address properly – these contact details will serve for further correspondence with the author(s).
- Please indicate the appropriate symposium of your preference.
- The abstract submission form is very straightforward and submission should be easy to complete without special instructions. Some explanatory notes are given below the fields to be filled in.
Content of abstracts
- Title: Make the title of the abstract brief, clearly indicating the nature of the investigation. Use a capital letter for the first letter in the title only (DO NOT capitalize each word). Maximum of 100 characters.
- Names of the authors: Submit full given name(s) and a full family name. Do not include degrees or professional titles.
- The length of the abstracts should not be more than 250 words.
- An abstract should consist of one paragraph only.
- Tables and pictures cannot be included in abstracts.
